Hello and Welcome.

Here you will mainly find photographs I have taken on morning walks walking from our home in Margaret River, but not only photographs and not only local ones. And they are mainly of birds but not only.

I should like to dedicate this website to 3 individuals:

To Lottie, our beautiful Labradoodle who from 2006 to 2019 trained me to take a walk every morning.

To Bryan my husband who turned nuts on photography in 2014. It has been amazing being part of his exceptional photography journey. In 2016 said ‘“ I know just the camera for you” and gave me a Sony RX10iii to photograph my birds with. He set the camera up for me and off I went - treating it much like a point and shoot camera ie zooming or not, focusing, and light - compensating. I now have a Sony RX10iv .

And to my dad Rod Davies, who was a passionate astronomer and natural scientist who liked to carry a camera around his neck whenever he was out. He taught me to squint at a scene to see if it amounted to much, to notice the fading of light and colour as mountain peaks became more distant, to get excited about small things in nature, and to carry a sheet of plain card to place behind a flower to give it an uncluttered background. 

I would also like to especially thank my mum Beth for wanting my photos,
my son Luke for turning my photos into calendars
my daughter Hannah for sharing our creative journeys in more ways than one
my daughter Laura for making this website for me
my wonderful sister Ros and brother Stewart for being the best ever siblings and
my wonderful friends both here in Margaret River and back in the UK.

I hope you enjoy looking at my pictures.
